Massachusetts lawmakers are still negotiating energy legislation (H.5175 / S.3166) that could affect the ability for consumers to choose a competitive electric supplier. The House and Senate have each advanced proposals that would allow individual municipalities to prohibit Bay Staters from shopping for their electric supply.

The bills are now in front of a conference committee for a final decision on your freedom to choose an electric supplier.
